On Thursday and Friday of this week (April 19-20), our local Catholic radio station (Holy Family Radio / WLCR AM 1040) will hold their annual Radiothon — a critically important event — a successful Radiothon will enable Holy Family Radio to continue its mission of spreading the Gospel throughout the Louisville area via the airwaves. This once-a-year event provides the resources necessary to bring EWTN and other national & local Catholic programs to us wherever we are (not only are they accessible on AM1040, but you can listen live on the internet at http://www.wlcr.org/
On Friday, April 20th, I will be a guest on the Holy Family Radio Radiothon.
I will be on the air between 11am and 11:30 to talk about the benefits of Catholic Radio and why supporting Holy Family Radio is worth it! I’ll also speak about how the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants and the radio station have worked together for years to promote the faith AND the pro-life message. On Thursday, April 19th, two members of the 40 Days for Life campaign team- Donna Burry and Cathy Schneider – will be guests on the Holy Family Radio Radiothon between 10 and 11 am. AND a $1,000 matching challenge has been made to faithful 40 Days for Life supporters. During that hour, your contributions will be matched dollar for dollar up to $1,000!!
If you are a frequent listener of Holy Family Radio, you already know how beneficial their programs are to enriching our faith and aiding in a better understanding of why we do what we do … a great apologetics tool! The radio station is also a GREAT partner in promoting Catholic events in our area. During the recent Lenten/Spring 40 Days for Life campaign, WLCR provided nearly $2,000 in free advertising — thus, the hope from 10-11am on Thursday is to raise AT LEAST that amount for the station!
Please tune in to the Radiothon on Thursday, April 19 from 10-11am or at any time between 9am-6pm on 4/19-20 and make a donation to keep WLCR/Holy Family Radio on the air.
