Feast of the Divine Mercy Celebration 2016

During this Jubilee Year of Mercy, the parish of Saint Patrick is offering you a great opportunity to celebrate the feast of the Divine Mercy in great fellowship. All are welcome to the celebrations, which will include a nine day Divine Mercy Novena from March 25 (Good Friday) to Saturday, April 2, 2016. Eucharistic Adoration and Private Confessions will also take place on the Eve of Divine Mercy Sunday (April 2). A celebration of the Feast of Mercy will take place on April 3.

Finish Lent strong in 2016 The floodgates of forgiveness are open
All events will take place at Saint Patrick Parish, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road (40245). 

  1. Good Friday (March 25) – April 2, 2016
    • christ-on-the-crossPlease join us in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel each day to pray this
      powerful novena.
    • Prayers on Good Friday & Holy Saturday (March 25 & 26) will begin at 3:00pm.
      • Prayers on Good Friday and Holy Saturday (March 25-26) will begin @ 3pm.
      • On Good Friday we will begin with Stations of the Cross, followed by Novena Prayers, Divine Mercy Chaplet & Litany.
      • All in attendance will have the rare opportunity to venerate a relic of the True Cross. 
    • On the remaining 7 days (March 27-April 2) The Most Blessed Sacrament will be Exposed @ 3:30pm

 

  1. Saturday, April 2, 2016
    • Eucharistic Adoration and Private ConfessionsPope Francis carries monstrance during observance of Corpus Christi feast
    • Following the 5pm Mass until Midnight, spend some time with Jesus in preparation for the Feast of Mercy.
      Exposition will follow the 5pm Mass, with Benediction at Midnight.

      • Adorers are welcome at any time.
    • Priests will be available for private confessions throughout the evening.

Immaculate Conception have organized an effort to petition the Holy See for St. Faustian to be declared a “Doctor of the Church”.

  1. Sunday, April 3, 2016

    • Celebration of the Feast of MercyDivine Mercy
    • 1:30 pm – Private Confessions begin
    • 2:15 pm – International Rosary
    • 3:00 pm – Divine Mercy Hour Begins
      • Immediately followed by Mass

AGAIN, ALL CELEBRATIONS WILL TAKE PLACE AT SAINT PATRICK PARISH!

One final note … The Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception have organized an effort to petition the Holy See for St. Faustina to be declared a “Doctor of the Church”.
